About

I’m Mark Serrano - the creator of the Tape Eater App, Design Cloud Pro, and the renowned MixtapeMonkey. I turn ideas into engaging online experiences and craft beautiful aesthetics.

I'm a digital creator using skills from several digital mediums like graphic design, web development, and photography. I'm often inspired by beautiful ads, iconic movies, great music, and stunning architecture.

Early life - I was born in California where my mother escaped the civil war in El Salvador. I bounced around city to city at first for survival, then for a place I could call home, and now enjoying the peace of living minimally anywhere life decides for me.

I started my journey in sketching, film photography, and customizing MySpace profiles. I knew from an early age that all I ever wanted to do was live in the city and create things that millions of people would use.

An online directory for the best DJs in Kansas City. Built to keep in touch with the latest happenings in the city and provide an alternative for local DJs personal websites they had difficulties maintaining. Project is currently being reworked.

Design Cloud

As a freelance web designer on and off for that past 15 years I finally decided to build a brand around my services. This a one man design agency and a way to focus on my clients needs and not feel the need to create art with every digital project I touch.

Tape Eater

A mixtape player/mp3 player for the iPhone. You can load mixtapes directly from MixtapeMonkey or import your own mixtapes from other mixtape websites or your own mp3 collection.

MixtapeMonkey

2011 · Website

A mixtape distribution platform that allows users download free mixtapes from some of the greatest Hip-Hop artists. One of the last standing mixtape platforms left.
